What is Youth Speak Forum?

YouthSpeak Forum (@youthspeakuae) is a premier event that brings together young and senior leaders to form a diverse cross-sector and multi-generational space for inspiring conversations around pressing global issues. This forum is part of the Youth4GlobalGoals Campaign.

The theme for this year.

We at AIESEC believe that water security is a very pressing global issue, which will need the cooperation of governments, companies, and academics to be properly addressed. However, we also believe that each and every individual can help by taking action themselves. Therefore we present to you our theme of the year: H2GO! The theme aims to empower youth to take action on the Global Goals and learn from organizations that are currently taking proactive steps towards these. This year’s edition of Youth Speak Forum will be 100% virtual, making it available and safe to attend for anyone, anywhere. Nevertheless, as in the previous forums, this edition is framed into the unique and interactive framework of Empower, Engage, and Commit. Throughout the day, the delegates will participate in a challenge to further their understanding of the SDGs and identify what concrete actions they can take towards the Global Goals. The 3 Main Pillars of YouthSpeak Forum.

EMPOWER

Top business and thought leaders from around the world are invited to share their knowledge with delegates about the chosen forum theme. This section is delivered through short and powerful talks and aim to empower the delegates to look for more opportunities and understand the impact they can make on a daily basis.

ENGAGE

Our partner organizations engage with youth delegates to give new perspectives on issues relating to the forum theme through workshops, conversations and idea generation spaces. Youth and organizations interact, exchange opinions, and understand what is being done in the world already to address the question of the day and what can be done.

COMMIT

Youth delegates from diverse backgrounds after a day of inspiration and interaction , commit to make a change to the issues they connected the most throughout the day.
